December 2018 - Issue # 061 - Dieting Versus Lifestyle - Part 1

Hi Every Body and Welcome Back

It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is again upon us. Wow, where did the year go?

So this brings us to the most dangerous time of the year when it comes to weight gain.

You know, with office parties, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas/Holidays and New Years celebrations bring with it a lot of extra food and drink for the taking.

This is why we need to use every tool in our tool box to our advantage just to help us avoid that awful holiday weight gain.

I usually will do some kind of diet regime before December and lose between 5 – 10 pounds. I do this because during the holidays I will put most of that weight back on again.

I did the intermittent fasting, the 16/8 method and it does produce amazing effects. (That’s when you fast 16 hours out of the 24). I dropped 10 pounds in about 2 weeks.

But now I've put that on the side burner because of the holidays.

I know that most diets are only a band aid solution to help limit the amount of weight that can so easily add up during this time of year.

Any time you can do a diet for a few days, weeks (or perhaps more), then YES, do it. Every bit of effort helps.

But there is a big difference between dieting versus lifestyle for achieving weight loss.

Dieting is only a temporary fix while a lifestyle change is considered a more permanent achievement.

So because the holidays are upon us, I certainly won’t be doing any dieting until the New Year, which is practically upon us anyway.

In our January’s newsletter ,which will be Part 2 of Dieting versus Lifestyle, we will cover ways to help lose weight and keep it off.

There are many different ways to help achieve a new healthy habit that will bring into our lives permanent and healthy changes.

We are all different and there are several methods that can be tried to see if any work specifically for you.

I can’t wait to try something with you, that will bring more permanent results.

A more routine and permanent change can bring an end to yo-yo dieting. My, how nice that would be.

Until then, Happy Holidays, to you and yours.

And see you in the NEW YEAR!!!!!!
